Webinar recording now available – Play in the PICU: Perspectives from a Hospital Play Specialist and a Child Life Specialist

If you missed our 2nd AHP Committee webinar on the February 17th at 4pm EST / 9pm UTC, the recording is now available here

During this webinar, a child life specialist in the United States and a health play specialist in Great Britain, gave their perspectives on the importance of play in the ICU.   Included were the different approaches taken by these professions plus suggestions on how settings without a specific play professional could incorporate play into the ICU setting.

Two case vignettes were shared in order to illustrate types of play interventions and adaptations for the ICU patient and environment.

Many thanks to our wonderful expert speakers  Caroline Potter, Senior Child Life Specialist, USA and Cath Hubbuck, Registered Health Play Specialist, UK  for their wonderful presentation and insights.  Also thanks to our wonderful moderator, Sarah Wright, Australia.
