SIAATIP
SIAATIP (Società Italiana di Anestesia, Analgesia e Terapia Intensiva Pediatrica) is the largest Italian pediatric anesthesia society and among the first in Europe by number of subscribers and members and due to its great organization.
Its organization is very complex and includes other societies with which it constitutes an Italian Confederation as follows:
The Italian Society of Labor Analgesia (Società Italiana di Partoanalgesia), PAICSAT (Pediatric Anesthesia and Intensive Care Society of Applied Technologies), Italian Emergency School (Scuola Italian Emergenze – S.I.E.) and the Society for Ultrasound in Anesthesia, ALNUVA (Apulo Lucan Network on Ultrasound Vascular Access).
Thanks to the cooperation of the above organizations the SIAATIP embraces all disciplines in the field of maternal and pediatric sciences, pediatric and neonatal anesthesia, pediatric and neonatal intensive care, pediatric and neonatal pain care, maternal-fetal perioperative medicine, maternal-fetal anesthesia, emergency and critical care.
It is officially recognized by the Italian Ministerial Institutions and the Italian Health Ministry with which cooperates and produce many guidelines and recommendations. Moreover, the SIAATIP is the official repository of the National Registry of Adverse Events in Pediatric Anesthesia.
Our Board is elected by members every three years and we have annual national meetings and also annual international meetings, advanced courses and simulation in anesthesia and critical care management. The society cooperate with the University La Sapienza in Rome for the Master Degree in Pediatric Intensive Care.

We have two official journals: Pediatric Reports (indexed in PubMED) and PACCJ – Pediatric Anesthesia and Critical Care Journal (being indexed in the coming months).
Every year our society organize many advanced courses with new technologies with high level of simulation with release of official diplomas and certifications. Moreover, the SIAATIP is affiliated with numerous scientific institutions and international organizations and is also affiliated to the new NECTARINE research study sponsored by ESA.
We also cooperate with ESPNIC for the European Diploma Program in Pediatric Intensive Care.
Our next national and international congress will be will be held in San Giovanni Rotondo (Foggia, Italy), 9-11 November 2017. It will be a joint congress with SIAATIP, PAICSAT and Italian Society of Labor Analgesia and Society for Ultrasound in Anesthesia and will include many advanced simulation courses in the field of pediatric and neonatal anesthesia, labor analgesia and emergency in obstetric and fetal care.
