The 9th World Congress of the World Federation of Pediatric Intensive & Critical Care Societies (WFPICCS) took place from 9 to 13 June 2018 in Singapore, a vibrant and multicultural island city-state in Asia. As a multilingual event, the Congress reflected both the diversity of its host city and the global pediatric critical care community it serves.
WFPICCS 2018 continued the Federation’s long-standing tradition of delivering world-class pediatric intensive and critical care education. The Congress brought together healthcare professionals from across the globe to share knowledge, strengthen collaboration, and advance the care of critically ill children and their families.
Organized by both local and international scientific committees, the Congress featured a comprehensive, multidisciplinary program designed to engage all members of the pediatric intensive care team. The scientific content focused on fostering learning and building partnerships to improve outcomes in pediatric critical care worldwide.
The program included core thematic tracks led by experts from Asia and beyond, daily plenary sessions, and expanded pre-conference workshops. Attendees also had opportunities to participate in focused discussions with leaders in the field, addressing current challenges and innovations in clinical practice, research, and education.
Held in a modern venue located in Singapore’s central business district, the Congress provided an accessible and well-equipped environment for participants to connect, engage, and learn. WFPICCS 2018 successfully reinforced the Federation’s commitment to global collaboration and excellence in pediatric critical care.
