The PCCM Global Critical Care Article of the month is an educational initiative led by experts in pediatric critical care from around the world. Each month, a group of specialists reviews recent publications from Pediatric Critical Care Medicine (PCCM) — the Official Journal of WFPICCS — and selects one paper that offers significant insights or advances in the field.
Through this project, WFPICCS aims to promote continuous learning, encourage critical discussion, and highlight research that contributes to improving the care of critically ill children globally. A brief expert commentary accompanies each selected article to summarize its key messages and practical relevance for clinicians and researchers alike.

The journal Pediatric Critical Care Medicine is the Federation’s official journal. The journal covers a full range of scientific content. Additionally, the journal includes abstracts of selected articles published in Chinese, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish translations – making news of advances in the field available to pediatric and neonatal intensive and critical care practitioners worldwide.
We’ve got some short videos of PedsICU health professionals speaking in English, Arabic Korean, about why they subscribe to the PCCM. Have a listen and then head over to the PCCM website and subscribe yourself!
