Dr. Raghad Al-Abdwani is a Senior Consultant and Head of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH), University Medical City (UMC), Oman. She completed her pediatric critical care training at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and has a strong interest in improving the quality and delivery of care within pediatric critical care units.
Alongside her clinical work, she is deeply involved in medical education and training. She serves as Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Residency Program at the Oman Specialty Medical Board (OMSB) and is Chair of the Simulation Committee for pediatric training. She also chairs the Examination Committee for the Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship Program.
Dr. Al-Abdwani is a Middle East representative with the World Federation of Pediatric Intensive and Critical Care Societies (WFPICCS). Her professional interests include healthcare worker wellbeing in the PICU and pediatric palliative care, reflecting her commitment to both high-quality patient care and the teams who provide it.
