Dr. Andrea Rodríguez is an intensivist pediatrician and an assistant in the Pediatric ICU academic unit at Hospital Pereira Rossell in Uruguay. She is a member of the Enteral and Parenteral Nutritional Support Unit at Pereira Rossell Hospital in Montevideo and serves on the nutrition committee of the Uruguayan Pediatric Society.
Her professional interests focus on enteral and parenteral nutritional support, intestinal failure, refeeding syndrome, metabolism, and pulmonary mechanics. She is actively involved in research projects on hypophosphatemia and refeeding syndrome in pediatrics, the use of nutritional risk scores upon ICU admission, and the ultrasound assessment of muscle mass through quadriceps muscle measurement.
