Estágio opcional para estudante de medicina

Embora as seguintes unidades aceitem estudantes de medicina para os seus estágios opcionais/observações, não existe qualquer obrigação por parte da WFPICCS em aceitar candidaturas. A lista serve como ponto de partida, não é exaustiva e está em constante atualização! Consulta a lista aqui e informa-nos se tiveres questões ou se conheceres outras UCIPs que ofereçam estágios opcionais. Aguardamos o teu feedback.

Dominic Wooldridge realizou o seu estágio opcional com o Dr. Intikhab Zafurallah (Zaf) no Hospital Pediátrico de Birmingham, Reino Unido, e observou a equipa de CIP na unidade e em transferências. Também lhe foram atribuídos 1-2 pacientes por dia (em conjunto com os médicos regulares de CIP), para avaliar, aprender, participar na tomada de decisões (frequentemente decisões de baixa complexidade) e depois apresentar nas rondas da tarde.

Tornou-se evidente que a definição de estágio opcional varia em todo o mundo, mas no Reino Unido é um elemento obrigatório do currículo médico de licenciatura, permitindo aos estudantes experienciar áreas da medicina pelas quais têm interesse ou muito pouca experiência. Frequentemente, estes estágios decorrem em vários destinos mundiais. Por vezes, são chamados de observações. Envia-nos uma mensagem e diz-nos como são chamados no teu país.
