European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (UEMS/EACCME)

The 11th Congress of the World Federation of Pediatric Intensive & Critical Care Societies is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS): www.uems.net.

The 11th Congress of the World Federation of Pediatric Intensive & Critical Care Societies is designated for a maximum of, or up to, 36 European CME credits. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

American Medical Association (AMA)

“Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.

Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

International Council of Nurses (ICN)

The 11th Congress of the World Federation of Pediatric Intensive and Critical Care Societies has been approved by the International Council of Nurses (ICN) for the award of 36 International Continuing Nursing Education Credits (ICNEC) over the five days of the congress. For more information, visit: www.icn.ch.

Below are the sessions that have been approved for ICNEC accreditation. One ICNEC is equivalent to approximately 60 minutes of an approved learning experience. ICNECs will only be awarded if the whole session has been attended.

ICNEC has been awarded for the following sessions as outlined in the table below. Awards are based on the length of session. The entire session needs to be attended.

To Receive Your CME/CPD Certificate
CME/CPD Certificates will be available after completing the online evaluation and credit claiming procedure. We thank you for your feedback, as it is an important part of CME/CPD accreditation and helps improve future educational offerings.

Steps to receiving your CME/CPD Certificate:
1. Access the virtual platform and watch the sessions. (Please note that Google Chrome is the recommended browser)

2. Fill out & submit the Post-Congress Evaluation, which will be emailed to you after the Virtual World Congress.

3. The CME/CPD Certificate will be emailed to you in PDF format after completing the survey; please retain for your personal records.

Kindly note that the WFPICCS 2022 Post-Congress Evaluation will be available after the Congress. You will then be able to fill it out and submit it to receive your CME/CPD Certificate.

  • Recognize the enormity of the human suffering in critically ill infants and children, and the economic cost if society fails to act on the scientific opportunities now available to improve the quality of care and clinical practice.

Target Audience
The 11th Congress of the World Federation of Pediatric Intensive & Critical Care Societies is the global meeting place for Pediatric Intensive Care Physicians (lntensivists), trainees in the field, General Pediatrician, Pediatric Critical Care Nurses, Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Respiratory Therapists, Biomedical Engineers and others. Because of the diverse, clinically focused educational offering, participants are able to tailor the curriculum to meet the needs of international clinicians of all levels of experience.
